Although it is oil, it isn't exactly greasy and I mix it with water effectively. My bottle says to dilute it 10:1 with water. It's potent stuff and can irritate your skin if you use it undiluted.

Pure tea tree oil is fine, it's a natural ingredient and works wonders for pimples. Allot of products for pimples have tea tree oil in them.

unless u RELY mix tea tree oil with water it will combine but if u wet the q-tip first the oil and water will just separate so its not rely diluting.
putting (only) pure tea tree oil on your face is fine it wont do anything unless u over use it on the same pimples then it will start to burn
the best way to dilute it is to mix it with emu oil cos emu oil is a natural moisturiser and its GREAT for pimples to, and helps the tea tree oil abrosb into the pimple

Hello! I've been using this method for years now, and having been the likeness of a teenage dartboard for years, I now boast a clean and clear complection. Never, EVER dilute it in paint thinner, that is just absurd; also, try not to use it in its pure form on your face. Tea tree oil is not an openly recieved oil into the ph barrier of your skin. This works best, go down to your neighbourhood's natural 'groovy' grocery store, and pick up a small bottle of Emu oil. That's right, Emu. This is one of the most receptive emollients to the human skin known to mankind. Now.. take your Emu and Tea tree oil, mix a dime sized amount of the Emu with a drop or two of the Tea tree oil, take a q tip after cleansing the skin and apply a conservative amount to the affected areas. This is a safe and all natural way to treat breakouts, it's tried and true. Goodluck
Ps. The emu oil acts as a supply of essential fatty acids (ie. Omega 3) and will help repair the skin around the breakout once it is cleared, think of it as a double threat on acne
