I would imagine everyone will say something different, but here's what I would pick. I'm not listing all of the benefits of each oil, just a few main points. If I were you I would buy a good book about aromatherapy which would go into more detail about each oil.

Eucalyptus - good for clearing up sinuses, good for sore muscles (diluted in oil though!)

Lemon - good to put in cleaning products, good for acne and oily skin

Tea tree - also good for cleaning products, acne and oily skin

Lavender - good for a lot of things! skincare, cleaning, anxiety, wounds, etc.

Bergamot (my personal favorite) - can act as an insect repellent, good for depression, anger, and anxiety. It's used a lot in perfume

Sandalwood - good for skincare, infections, gives a calming effect. Can be used as an aphrodisiac.

Chamomile (Roman or blue, not wild) - calming effect, good for skincare

Orange - good for dry and aging skin, good for anxiety especially in children.

ylang ylang - good for soothing anger and physical pain, can also be used as an aphrodisiac, good for insect bites, used a lot in perfume

Peppermint - very stimulating, cooling effect, good for sore muscles.
