Yes, it's ok. I'm using it right now for my industrial too.
I used it on my nose piercing along with hydrogen peroxide to get rid of hypertrophic scarring and it worked in 4-5 days.
I think it will take longer for my industrial, but I think it will work. I used sea salt soaks first, and they worked, but took a long time, then I ran out (used H2Ocean), and got the oil.
Oh, then for how to use it, just clean around the bar and holes first with hydrogen peroxide with a q-tip. Then get another q-tip and dip it in the oil, then rub it on around the holes, on the scarring. Do that at least once a day, until the scarring goes away.

Yes, it's good for nearly every wound. It's not as disinfectant as alcohol or another professional grade disinfectant, though, so you may want to use those first. Then just sparingly put a few drops on the area.

I never heard of using tea tree oil on an infected piercing. I've used it for arthritis and tendon problems and it burns on regular skin, much less on and open wound...
If your piercing is healed, it should be ok. I doubt it will help scarring tho. I have keloid scar. the only way to get rids of those scars is by injections and then it's not a sure thing. See a dermatologist.

Best of luck!

NO! don't use ointments, ear cleaning solution, glyoxide, hydrogen peroxide or any thing with alcohol only use anti-bacterial soap with warm water or sea salt mixed with warm water or salin solution and if that doesn't work go to your piercer

One drop on the bump once a day. Try not to get it on your skin, and if you have sensitive skin, I'd avoid it. Use a q-tip to apply it.

Try emu oil or warm, wet cammomile teabag soaks instead.

Yes! I also had hypertrophic scarring so I bought some tea tree oil at Walmart and rubbed it on the scar with a q-tip. I'd dilute it with water because the smell is really strong. The scar didn't immediately go away, and honestly I don't know if it even went away because of the oil, but I'd still give it a shot.
