  1. They do work well either in a spray or in a burner, however all the recipes I have seen call for 8-10 drops of oil. So unless you are making a vast amount of spray I would say that a teaspoon full is far to much.

    Essential oils are highly concentrated and even when adding them to a bath of water you measure them in drops. There are only two oils it is safe to put directly onto the skin.

    I suggest you invest in a book to ensure you use them properly.

  2. No matter what you are spraying avoid inhaling the mist. I use a reed difusser to help my room smell nice. I put essential oil in a small bottle, but a few reeds into it and they release the scent slowly over time, if I need more fragrance I add reeds, less take a few away.
