Is it possible two brands of essential oils are packaged at the same location?

  1. Yep! Possible but without checking out both products, it'd impossible to tell for sure.

It's common practice to have a name brand product and store brand products that are all the same but the label. In this case, you'd have to look at both and do a few simple tests as this isn't green beans we're talking about.

  2. It is not only possible, but most likely true. I know for a fact that it happens with clothing, food, and medications, so why not oils

  3. It is very possible, though i am not sure about the NOW and Aura Cacia brands. You have manufacturing facilities that produce products for several companies and it is called Private labeling. Though it could be an umbrella company with several product lines or simply a manufacturing facility that produces product for several other companies.

  4. Unfortunately, sad but true. These days some identical products are just labelled for different markets/retailers. My lecturer at college was head of a large marketing/advertising firm & told us lots of stories like that. In fact, he said some of the really expensive cosmetic labels which were his clients just used ordinary baby powder with some colour added for their super expensive face powder. One factory made lots of different brands with exactly the same ingredients, just the packaging affected the price. My girlfriend tried using baby powder with a big brush & it works just like the expensive stuff & just real cheap too!!!

He also told us his client couldn't sell this horrible coloured lipstick so he told them to repackage it in a gold box with a gold paper band around it (@ just a few cents cost) & to then sell it at a really high price….& it all sold out!!!!

I know my doctor also told me that medicines & drugs can be deceptively labelled too coz I was suffering bad side effects & it was because some additives & preservatives that were not clearly listed that were affecting my health. I just stick with natural therapies now.

  6. I don't know if this is particularly true for a fact, but it is very possible.

Usually private labeling is not going to be mentioned anywhere on the packaging itself or on websites etc, simply because its that, private. Both companies pay to keep this info quiet and in turn they each make a profit. It happens all the time, so dont worry about it.

  7. Yes it is indeed possible. In actuality there are just a handful of essential oil manufacturers in the world. Most oils come from these relatively few suppliers and then are re-labeled.

    Hope that helps.

There's a free course on essential oils on this website:
