yep, it's alright if you don't mind the mild stinging and the smell.

tmi/fyi - apply some Oil of Oregano and/or take some oil of oregano capsules.

Uhmmm heres what i'd do, because i have a aloe vera plant id snap some of that off and rub it out, when washing put tea tree soap on it, and if that didn't work, use vaseline. :)
Vaseline is great, not expensive and does the job!
Hope this helps.

Since it's only a tiny drop getting into your mouth, the tea tree oil won't do you any harm. In larger amounts it can be very irritating.

cold sores are viral and tea tree oil is antibacterial so it really does nothing to cure it. also tea tree oil will make your skin very sensitive. try using a dab of paste made of turmeric mixed with water at night.

Take extra vitamin C. Cold sores are a sign that your immune system is struggling and Vitamin C helps that, so does oil of oregano to help fight viruses.

There is also an essential oil mix by Blaine Andrusek called cold sore blend that my dad swears by. He feels one coming and puts just the tiniest amount on it and it is gone by the end of the day. The first time he used it he had a fully erupted one and put it on it and he said he could feel it working and it was almost gone the next morning. I'm from Canada hopefully you can figure out how to get it where you live.
