Comments on: how well does tea-tree oil work for getting rid of pimples?

I have been very successful with tea tree oil and my pimples. I do not use it as an astringent over my whole face. Instead, I use it as a spot treatment, full strength. I find if I pop a pimple (I know that’s bad, but I can’t help it, it’s so satisfying!) then put a drop of tea tree oil on it, the redness and swelling is almost totally gone the next day. I also use it on split cuticles and on my ear piercings.

doesnt seem to do wonders for me, the onli good thing is if it doesnt work for u, u can use it for insects bites. lol

on a personal note i wouldnt use it if i was you oil breaks the face out more depends on the person .

Speak with a dermatologist. It’s an oil, not unlike a turpentine or such, when all is said and done. It’s workable on corns and things like that (as are other agents). Why not look at Salycilyic acid or something to that effect, or higher amounts of salicylic and benzoyl peroxide?

I use tea trea oil at night. Use it after you wash your face. It’s supposed to be good. It doesn’t dry the skin (it’s OIL). I heard that it does help with pimples and stuff. It’s good for people with dry skin…gives a nice glow to the face.

It does work but not over night! I have some on hand at all times! It will take the redness away to! No it does not dry out the skin either! It actually give you a really good complection and it is somthing you can use everyday after you was your face to keep pimples from appering! ya i use tea tree oil too! wut u have to do is apply it where u already have pimples. DO NOT apply it to ur whole face cause it will dry it out! just use a mosturizer for the rest of ur face.

Tea Tree oil yes, can dry out your skin. It depends on what products you are using and the percentage of tea tree oil in them.

Usually for a clear face you should wash your face everyday and exfoliate twice to three times a week.

The Body Shop has the best tea tree oil products I have found. As a Makeup Artist I definitely think you should try it out, it really helps skin.

If you have oily skin then use all the tea tree products, if you have combination skin try the tea tree facewash and exfoliator. Then use the seaweed moisturizer, it won’t add oil to your face but will moisturize so you don’t dry out.

i know that tea tree is good for getting rid of pimple but i dont know bout the oil part of it because if used to much it ould make your skin greasy but if you use a range of products hat include tea tree in them already then that would proberly work better. Or you could put a few drops into your moistuiser but not to much. Although if you making sure you cleanse, tone an moisturiser your skin every morning and night hat should also lear your skin.
