  1. Check out http://www.fromnaturewithlove.com. They have recipes in their resource center, as well as bottles, ingredients, and so forth. I’ve used them for quite a while now, and they’re good folks with prompt shipping. Have fun with your new hobby, trust me ….it will become an obsession! LOL

  2. If you do a search on essential oils, you will find a lot of great sites that offer oils and recipes.

  3. Also, you may be able to find some really good books about essential oils. I, too, have used them for skincare, bodycare and perfume and they are awesome. Any place you research will tell you you must dilute the oils (assuming they are pure) with a good base oil and store them in dark glass containers. You don’t really need to follow any recipes exactly, just go with your nose!

  4. Standard proportions for a perfume are 70% alcohol, 20% water and 10 % essential oils. You’ll need to do a bit of math. Technically speaking…true perfume is greater than 22% essential oil. Eau de perfume is 15-22% essential oils. Eau de toilette is 8-15% and cologne is less than 5% essential oils with water added. The remaining percentage is the alcohol. Please be aware that there are many grades and qualities of alcohol, each lending something to the end product. You can also make oil based perfumes with no alcohol; just eo’s, base oil and beeswax. The advantage of oil based perfumes is that you can use them as an oil, a solid, or add them to creams, body oils, bath, etc. The disadvantage of solids is the fact that you must use heat to blend the materials rather than the alcohol/solvent.
