Even it if did would you be saving money? Probably not to get, in some cases, just a small amount of oil take pounds upon pounds of a particular product. If you can capture the steam I suppose that you could end with something neat. Humidifiers don't heat the entire reservoir of water, only the water between the elements is heated to steam.
