Get a really good book on essential oils and read it in detail. Rosemary for example has contraindications for hypertension, pregnancy, epilepsy, etc...

If you are in doubt about your research from more than one source seek the counsel of a certified aromatherapist who has years of experience working with essential oils. Never apply an oil to someone without doing a skin allergy test first, but only after reviewing all of the known guidelines and cautions first.

Frankincense is relaxing and rejuvenates the nerves. Usually burned as incense, but also used in lotions to apply to the skin.
Relaxation of the body yet elevation of the spirit is considered to be relaxation.
