Emily's Oils & Essentials offers a wide variety of high quality essential oils as well as base materials. Clays, salt, waxes and lotion. Although glycerine is not available on the website, it is on stock. Vegetable glycerine sells for $60 a gallon, $14 for 480 mls.

***Glycerin
You do not need to use Food Grade Vegetable Glycerin if you are only making EXTERNAL products, but if you are going to ingest the glycerin (medicinal tinctures, for example) you will want at least 99% Food Grade Vegetable Glycerin. Be sure and verify the type before purchasing.
I have bought from
***AZURE STANDARD $26.35/gallon-also available in smaller sizes
http://www.azurestandard.com/products/index.php?search=1&txtKeyWords=glycerin
***FROM NATURE WITH LOVE $20.00/gallon-also available in smaller sizes
http://www.fromnaturewithlove.com/
(their's is not Food Grade, from what I understand)
***BOTANICAL.com $29.00/gallon-also available in 16 oz. size
http://www.botanical.com/products/supply/ingred.html
******I do not have any negative feedback for any of these companies. I usually just buy my glycerin from whichever company I am ordering herbs or other supplies from. I like all of these companies. I have never paid more than $25/gallon. When I bought from Azure Standard, the price at check-out was actually $18. That was great because it is the shipping that gets you---it's heavy!

NATURAL BEAUTY PRODUCTS
I found a great book with recipes for natural facial steams, scrubs, toners, moisturizers, cleansers, masks, shampoos, etc. It calls for various essential oils, herbs, and other such products. I got my copy from Amazon for less than $4!!!

The Herbal Body Book (A Natural Approach To Healthier Hair, Skin, and Nails) by Stephanie Tourles
****
ALSO, you might check out http://www.shoshannagardens.com/ for "Monthly Pampering" recipes using all natural ingredients.

A best glycerin site be: www.herbspro.com (for formulation from liquid glycerin as a natural emollient and skin protectant.)

You want to manufacture your own soaps I have the following advice:

Natural beeswax has become a most popular, but I like the idea of using glycerine chips but they're more difficult to search for seller of.

The purest essential oils of a high grade will be found at the online store: www.mothernature.com
